The announcement
Figure announced a partnership with Nscale for access to as many as 100,000 NVIDIA Vera Rubin GPUs, with initial deployment targeted for the second half of 2027. Figure connects the planned capacity to training its Helix robotics models. These are the company’s announced plans, not confirmation that the infrastructure is already operating. Why local operators should pay attention
Our interpretation: a future service operator has to understand the software development path as well as the machine. Capability may change through model updates, while the operating business still needs stable task definitions, support commitments and a way to validate each material change.
A larger training programme could support progress. It does not tell a customer when a particular job can be completed reliably, what human support will cost, or whether that service can be supported in Western Australia.
What this means for HHA
We will track the capabilities that emerge, rather than treat computing investment as a reason to purchase a fleet. The useful milestones are task-level evidence, repeat performance and a workable local service arrangement.
