Optional Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics only if you choose Allow analytics. Until then, we do not load its script or send analytics events. If you decline, all website content remains available.
With permission, Google receives visit and device information, page views, reading activity and selected link interactions. We measure when an email link or comment-email preparation button is used; that does not confirm a message was sent. We do not send comment text, display names or email message contents to Analytics. Our page measurements omit URL query strings and fragments, and reduce referrer URLs to their origin.
Google processes this information under its terms and may process it outside Australia. Analytics uses cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. We have not enabled advertising personalisation or Google signals in our site configuration. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner sites.
Your choice is saved in this browser for up to 180 days using local storage. Use Analytics settings below to change it. Declining after allowing stops further collection through this site and attempts to remove its Analytics cookies; it does not erase information previously received by Google.
Hosting
Fastmail hosts the website and processes technical access information to provide the service. We can access visitor timestamps and browser user-agent information for the preceding two weeks. This hosting activity is separate from optional Analytics. See Fastmail’s privacy policy.
Email enquiries and comments
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to include. We use this to respond, assess your contribution and manage the conversation. The comment form prepares a message in your own email app; it does not submit a comment or store the draft on our server. You must send that email yourself.
Comments are private until the owner approves publication and the contributor has permitted it. Approved text and the chosen display name may then be public. Email addresses are not published. We retain correspondence while needed to manage the enquiry, moderation and associated business records, and assess requests to delete it, subject to any applicable retention obligations. Avoid sending sensitive household, health or third-party information.

You can ask us to correct or remove a published contribution or raise a privacy concern by emailing hello@humanoidhelper.au. We may need to verify that the request relates to you before changing personal information.
